Hi! I'm an Assistant Professor of Operations and Decision Technologies at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington. My research interests lie at the intersection of economics and technology. I use econometric, game-theoretic and machine learning tools to analyze various strategies and implications of technology platforms. Specifically, I have studied why major digital platforms like Google entered into complementary hardware businesses, and how sponsored search can serve as a screening mechanism for online marketplaces like Amazon. With regard to implications of platforms, I've looked at the impact of e-reading devices like Kindle on print book sales, and the role of online review platforms like TripAdvisor in improving a firm's quality.

I hold a PhD degree in Information Systems and Management from Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College. Before joining Carnegie Mellon, I worked at the Indian School of Business as a Research Associate. I have a Bachelor's degree in Economics from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, and a Master's degree in Quantitative Economics from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.

Besides research, I love playing and following tennis. In 2017, I fulfilled one of my dreams to watch Federer play live on the Wimbledon Centre Court.
